Pre hearing information

Allegation

The tribunal will inquire into the allegation that, in February 2015, Dr Ahmed accessed a 14 year old patient’s medical records in order to send her a Facebook friend request. It will further inquire into the allegation that in April 2015, Dr Ahmed failed to carry out an adequate assessment during a consultation with this patient, failed to arrange for an x-ray, administered inadequate medication and failed to keep an adequate record of the consultation.

It is further alleged that, in November 2014, Dr Ahmed used another female patient’s medical records to obtain her full name in order to send her messages via Whatsapp in pursuit of a sexual relationship. It is alleged the messages were sexual in nature and that Dr Ahmed continued to send them despite the patient no longer responding to these messages.
