Pre hearing information
The tribunal will enquire into the allegation that, between 3 August and 19 September 2016, Dr Ahmadnia made several inappropriate comments to colleagues and behaved inappropriately whilst at work. It is alleged that some or all of this conduct was sexually motivated.
It is also alleged that, on more than one occasion, between 3 August 2016 and 19 September 2016, Dr Ahmadnia arrived to work late, left the hospital during a shift and failed to answer his phone during a shift when the hospital was trying to contact him.
It is further alleged that, on 9 August 2016, Dr Ahmadnia gave a patient an incorrect dose of medication, and medication that was not clinically indicated. It is also alleged that Dr Ahmadnia told colleagues that a patient's respiratory rate had dropped to nil when it had not. It is alleged that this conduct was dishonest.
The Tribunal will also enquire into the allegation that, between 7 May and 7 August 2017, Dr Ahmadnia wrote or caused to be written several prescriptions, purportedly written by another doctor. Furthermore Dr Ahmadnia attempted to collect them, telling the pharmacist that he was the prescribing doctor, as well as other comments which it is alleged he knew were untrue. It is alleged that Dr Ahmadnia's conduct was dishonest.
This reflects the allegation as it stands at the start of the hearing. The allegation may be amended as the hearing proceeds and when findings of fact are made by the tribunal.
