Pre hearing information

The Tribunal will enquire into the allegation that, on one or more occasions between August and September 2017 whilst employed by St Helens and Knowsley Hospitals NHS Trust (‘the Trust’), Dr Mandal used the Trust’s postal system to send one or more parcels which were unrelated to his work at the Trust. It is alleged that Dr Mandal did not pay postage for these parcels, and on one or more occasions confirmed to the Trust that the parcels were for hospital business when he knew they were not. It is alleged that Dr Mandal did so dishonestly and that, by reason of the matters set out above, his fitness to practice is impaired by reason of misconduct.

This reflects the allegation as it stands at the start of the hearing. The allegation may be amended as the hearing proceeds and when findings of fact are made by the tribunal.

All decisions are published online within 28 days of the conclusion of the hearing.
