Pre hearing information

The tribunal will inquire into the allegation that on 9 July 2021 Dr Savu inappropriately amended Patient A’s medical record and suggested to Dr B that he retrospectively amended Patient A’s medical record. It is alleged that that Dr Savu knew patient A had died on 7 July 2021.

It is further alleged that at subsequent meetings with Dr C, Ms D and Ms E, Dr Savu made statements that were intended to avoid criticisms of his care and treatment of Patient A and of his actions as Dr B’s supervisor. It is alleged that Dr Savu’s actions in amending Patient A’s medical records were dishonest.

This reflects the allegation as it stands at the start of the hearing. The allegation may be amended as the hearing proceeds and when findings of fact are made by the tribunal.

All decisions are published online within 28 days of the conclusion of the hearing.
