Pre hearing information
The tribunal will inquire into the allegation that on 26 January 2018 Dr Onwuzurike attended Patient A at Dorset County Hospital and he failed to treat Patient A with respect. It is further alleged that that Dr Onwuzurike did not obtain verbal consent from Patient A to perform a vaginal examination; immediately stop Patient A’s vaginal examination when asked to discontinue or adequately communicate to Patient A and their partner why she was being taken to theatre.
This reflects the allegation as it stands at the start of the hearing. The allegation may be amended as the hearing proceeds and when findings of fact are made by the tribunal.
All decisions are published online within 28 days of the conclusion of the hearing.
