Pre hearing information

The tribunal will inquire into the allegation that on 15 August 2019 at Northern Ireland (‘NI’) Magistrates’ Court, Dr Zubier was convicted of contravening a non-molestation order, found guilty of assaulting Mr A and damaging an item of his property.

It is also alleged that on 15 August 2019 Dr Zubier was sentenced to perform 80 hours of unpaid work, and a two-year restraining order in relation to Mr B. It is also alleged Dr Zubier received a conditional discharge for two years in respect of the convictions relating to Mr A.

It is further alleged that on 12 November 2019 at NI Magistrates’ Court, Dr Zubier was convicted of driving a vehicle whilst unfit through drink or drugs. It also alleged that on 12 November 2019 Dr Zubier was fined a sum of £150 and disqualified from driving for one year, to be reduced by three months on completion of a course by 12 June 2020.

It is alleged that Dr Zubier’s fitness to practise is impaired by reason of convictions and misconduct.

We expect parts of this case to be heard in private.
