Dr Helmy MOHAMED
Pre hearing information
The tribunal will inquire into the allegation that following the withdrawal of Dr Mohamed’s licence to practise in July 2015, he issued a prescription to a patient via Medinfoservices, an online provider of medical services. It is alleged that at the time of issuing the prescription in May 2017, Dr Mohamed failed to take an adequate medical history of the patient, undertake an adequate examination, provide adequate safeguarding advice to the patient or inform their general practitioner of the prescription. It is further alleged that at the time of issuing the prescription Dr Mohamed knew that he did not hold a licence to practise and therefore his actions were dishonest.
The above reflects the allegation as it stands at the start of the hearing. The allegation may be amended as the hearing proceeds and when findings of fact are made by the tribunal.
