Pre hearing information
The tribunal will inquire into the allegation that, on one or more occasion whilst he was at work in or around September 2016, Dr Mahmoud used the website Google Translate to access websites which were blocked by the Trust, and this was in breach of employment policies.
It is further alleged that, on 8 September 2016, whilst he was at work, Dr Mahmoud viewed and edited pornographic material and used an unencrypted USB device. It is alleged that this conduct was in misuse of the Trust IT equipment and in breach of the Trust’s employment policies. It is also alleged that this conduct resulted in other Trust employees having sight of the pornographic material.
This reflects the allegation as it stands at the start of the hearing. The allegation may be amended as the hearing proceeds and when findings of fact are made by the tribunal.
All decisions are published online within 28 days of the conclusion of the hearing.
