Pre hearing information

The tribunal will inquire into the allegation that on 7 January 2015, during a meeting at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Dr Syed falsely stated he did not have any previous concerns on his GMC record from previous employment, which he knew to be untrue, which was dishonest. It is also alleged that during November and December 2016 Dr Syed failed to adequately cooperate with a Trust investigation of his fitness to practise, and had failed to provide adequate details of his leave on 28 and 30 December 2016.

It is also alleged that on 27 May 2015 Dr Syed conducted an inappropriate examination of Patient A. It is further alleged that on 12 December 2016, during a consultation, Dr Syed failed to communicate appropriately with Patient D.

This reflects the allegation as it stands at the start of the hearing. The allegation may be amended as the hearing proceeds and when findings of fact are made by the tribunal.

All decisions are published online within 28 days of the conclusion of the hearing.
