Pre hearing information
The tribunal will inquire into the allegation that, on 10 July 2018, at Glasgow Sheriff Court, Dr Laing was convicted of the common law offence of attempted fraud in relation to an insurance claim regarding a false report of theft of engagement and wedding rings in an attempt to obtain a sum of £7,000.
It is also alleged that on 7 August 2018, Dr Laing was fined £1,200.
This reflects the allegation as it stands at the start of the hearing. The allegation may be amended as the hearing proceeds and when findings of fact are made by the tribunal.
All decisions are published online within 28 days of the conclusion of the hearing.
