Pre hearing information

The tribunal will inquire into the allegation that, between 9 April 2018 and 4 September 2019, Dr Shendy failed to provide appropriate care and treatment to eight patients, including failures to keep adequate records, obtain informed consent, and omitting to keep the patients’ GPs informed.

It is further alleged that, on 4 September 2019 whilst supervising a specialty trainee, Dr Shendy fell asleep and remained asleep for a number of minutes.

This reflects the allegation as it stands at the start of the hearing. The allegation may be amended as the hearing proceeds and when findings of fact are made by the tribunal.

All decisions are published online within 28 days of the conclusion of the hearing.
