Pre hearing information


The tribunal will inquire into the allegation that on 19 December 2018 and 10 December 2019 in the Crown Court at the Central Criminal Court (‘the Court’) Dr Shah was convicted of 53 counts of Sexual Assault by penetration, contrary to Section 2 of the Sexual Offences Act; 37 counts of Sexual Assault, contrary to Section 3 of the Sexual Offences Act 2003.

On 7 February 2020 Dr Shah was sentenced to life imprisonment with a recommendation to serve a minimum term of 15 years.



This reflects the allegation as it stands at the start of the hearing. The allegation may be amended as the hearing proceeds and when findings of fact are made by the tribunal.
