Pre hearing information
The tribunal will inquire into the allegation that in March 2018, Dr Khan issued prescriptions in the name of patients who had not been seen by him or attended A&E during his shift, when it was not indicated and when these prescriptions could have misled doctors treating those patients in the future. It is further alleged that Dr Khan knew the prescriptions were intended for a friend in Pakistan and had not made any plans to ensure they were safely used or that there would be follow up care from a local doctor.
It is alleged Dr Khan included information on the prescriptions that was untrue and which he knew was untrue. It is alleged that Dr Khan’s conduct was dishonest.
This reflects the allegation as it stands at the start of the hearing. The allegation may be amended as the hearing proceeds and when findings of fact are made by the tribunal.
