Pre hearing information

The tribunal will inquire into the allegation that on 30 August 2022 at Solihull Police Station, Dr Sohail accepted a caution for sending malicious communications via a series of ‘WhatsApp’ messages on or around 6 May 2020. It is alleged that Dr Sohail agreed to attend a victim awareness course by 30 November 2020.

It is further alleged that on or around 14 February 2020, Dr Sohail submitted an application form to West Middlesex University Hospital for a locum consultant position which contained false information. It is alleged that when Dr Sohail submitted the application form, he knew that he was subject to a GMC investigation and his actions in providing false information were dishonest.

This reflects the allegation as it stands at the start of the hearing. The allegation may be amended as the hearing proceeds and when findings of fact are made by the tribunal.

All decisions are published online within 28 days of the conclusion of the hearing.
