Dr Pravin Thomas
Pre hearing information
The tribunal will reconvene at the facts stage of proceedings to continue its inquiry into the allegation that between 8 February 2020 and 12 March 2020, Dr Pravin Thomas carried out actions for the purpose of pursuing an improper personal relationship with a vulnerable patient. It is also alleged that Dr Thomas inappropriately disclosed personal details about the patient to his wife without having clinical justification to do so.
It is further alleged that, with full knowledge of the GMC’s investigation into his conduct, Dr Thomas failed to declare it on an employment application for Leeds Teaching Hospital and informed that Trust that the investigation was closed, and in doing so his actions were dishonest.
This reflects the allegation as it stands at the start of the hearing. The allegation may be amended as the hearing proceeds and when findings of fact are made by the tribunal.
All decisions are published online within 28 days of the conclusion of the hearing.
