Pre hearing information
The Tribunal will reconvene to consider the allegation that on 6 April 2018 at Birmingham Crown Court, Dr Mehta was convicted of sexual assault on a female, and on 27 April 2018 he was sentenced to 15 months’ imprisonment.
In October 2018, the Tribunal determined that Dr Mehta’s fitness to practise is impaired by reason of his conviction.
This reflects the allegation as it stands at the start of the hearing. The allegation may be amended as the hearing proceeds and when findings of fact are made by the tribunal.
All decisions are published online within 28 days of the conclusion of the hearing.
