Pre hearing information
The tribunal will inquire into the allegation that on 11 April 2017, Dr Chatterjee being a relevant offender within the terms of Section 80 of the Sexual Offences Act 2003 failed to register travel to three different countries between 3 January 2016 and 1 August 2016. It is also alleged that on 7 September 2016, Dr Chatterjee failed to register a new passport.
It is further alleged that on 11 April 2017 at Central Kent Magistrates’ Court, Dr Chatterjee was sentenced to 84 days’ imprisonment, suspended for 12 months and required to undertake 200 hours of unpaid work.
This reflects the allegation as it stands at the start of the hearing. The allegation may be amended as the hearing proceeds and when findings of fact are made by the tribunal.
