Pre hearing information
Dr Chandra was erased from the medical register in March 2009 for disciplinary reasons.
His application for restoration to the Medical Register was granted by a Medical Practitioners Tribunal at a hearing which concluded on in March 2017.
In August 2018 the Court of Appeal allowed an appeal by the GMC against the Tribunal’s decision. In an addendum to the judgment (dated 26 February 2019), the Court remitted the matter to a Medical Practitioners Tribunal for reconsideration in light of its judgment. The Court of Appeal confirmed that Dr Chandra would remain on the Medical Register pending the remitted hearing.
A Tribunal will consider the remitted matter from 26 June 2019.
