Pre hearing information
The tribunal will inquire into the allegation that Dr Macshane made oral statements, which he knew to be untrue, to Nurse B and Dr C on or around 20 June 2017 concerning the identification of Patient A’s body.
It is also alleged that Dr Machsane made written statements on or around 20 June 2017 concerning the identification of Patient A, which he knew to be untrue, and initially maintained in a meeting with Dr D on 23 June 2017, a statement which he knew to be untrue.
It is alleged that Dr Macshane’s actions were dishonest.
This reflects the allegation as it stands at the start of the hearing. The allegation may be amended as the hearing proceeds and when findings of fact are made by the tribunal.
All decisions are published online within 28 days of the conclusion of the hearing.
