Pre hearing information
The tribunal will inquire into the allegation that, on 11 December 2020, at Manchester Magistrates’ Court, Dr Tahir was convicted of the offence of Adult attempt to engage in sexual communication with a child. It is alleged that on 8 January 2021, at Manchester Crown Court, Dr Tahir was sentenced to eight months imprisonment suspended for 24 months, 30 days rehabilitation activity requirement and 200 hours unpaid work.
It is further alleged that the following orders were imposed on Dr Tahir: registration on the Sex Offenders’ Register for 10 years; placement on the barring list; a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for 10 years and a Deprivation Order depriving him of his rights to a Samsung phone.
This reflects the allegation as it stands at the start of the hearing. The allegation may be amended as the hearing proceeds and when findings of fact are made by the tribunal.
All decisions are published online within 28 days of the conclusion of the hearing.
