Pre hearing information
The tribunal will inquire into the allegation that Mr Rao acted dishonestly in that on one or more occasion between March 2015 and April 2015, whilst on paid sick leave, he attended Trust premises and acted as a signatory for cremation forms and was paid for each form he signed.
The tribunal will also inquire into the allegation that Mr Rao acted as a signatory for a cremation form in September 2015 on which he declared that he had questioned the medical practitioner who had given him cremation paperwork, and that he had seen and examined the body of the deceased. It is alleged that this declaration was untrue, Dr Rao knew it to be untrue and that his actions were dishonest.
This reflects the allegation as it stands at the start of the hearing. The allegation may be amended as the hearing proceeds and when findings of fact are made by the tribunal.
All decisions are published online within 28 days of the conclusion of the hearing.
