Pre hearing information
The tribunal will inquire into the allegation that between 2 January 2013 and 25 March 2014 Dr Lingam issued 299 private prescriptions for patients outside of the UK. It is alleged that one or more of the patients named on the prescriptions did not exist. It is also alleged that Dr Lingam acted on the request of a Pharmacy and on information which was insufficient to allow for safe prescribing.
It is further alleged that Dr Lingam acted outside his level of competence and that his actions could have led to patient harm.
This reflects the allegation as it stands at the start of the hearing. The allegation may be amended as the hearing proceeds and when findings of fact are made by the tribunal.
All decisions are published online within 28 days of the conclusion of the hearing.
