Pre hearing information

Allegation

The tribunal will inquire into the allegation that, on or around 2 January 2022, Dr Metcalfe attended a pharmacy and presented a prescription made out to Patient B whilst misrepresenting himself as Patient B. It is alleged that Dr Metcalfe intended to obtain the medication for his own use and that his conduct was dishonest.

It is further alleged that, on 21 September 2023, at Caernarforn Magistrates’ Court, Dr Metcalfe was convicted of being in charge of a motor vehicle whilst over the limit. It is alleged that Dr Metcalfe was disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 6 months and had his driving record endorsed.

We expect parts of this case to be heard in private.

Bydd y tribiwnlys yn ymchwilio i’r honiad bod Dr Metcalfe, ar 2 Ionawr 2022 neu tua’r adeg honno, wedi mynd i fferyllfa ac wedi cyflwyno presgripsiwn ar gyfer Claf B gan esgus mai ef oedd Claf B. Honnir bod Dr Metcalfe wedi bwriadu cael y feddyginiaeth at ei ddefnydd ei hun a bod ei ymddygiad yn anonest.

Honnir hefyd bod Dr Metcalfe, ar 21 Medi 2023 yn Llys Ynadon Caernarfon, wedi’i gael yn euog o fod yn gyfrifol am gerbyd modur pan oedd dros y terfyn alcohol cyfreithlon. Honnir bod Dr Metcalfe wedi'i wahardd rhag dal neu gael trwydded yrru am 6 mis a bod ei gofnod gyrru wedi cael ei ardystio.

Rydym yn disgwyl y gwrandewir ar rannau o’r achos hwn yn breifat.
