Pre hearing information
The tribunal will inquire into the allegation that, in or around December 2018, a Disciplinary Committee of the Department of Health in Abu Dhabi suspended Dr Majumdar’s licence to practise for one year, from 9 July 2019. It is alleged that Dr Majumdar failed to inform the GMC without delay of the suspension.
It is further alleged that on 30 December 2020, Dr Majumdar submitted a GMC Application Form to restore his UK licence to practise and declared that he was not aware of any proceedings, acts or omissions which might render him liable to be referred to the GMC for investigation or consideration of his fitness to practise. It is alleged that Dr Majumdar’s actions were dishonest.
This reflects the allegation as it stands at the start of the hearing. The allegation may be amended as the hearing proceeds and when findings of fact are made by the tribunal.
All decisions are published online within 28 days of the conclusion of the hearing.

In accordance with Rule 41(2) of the General Medical Council (Fitness to Practise) Rules 2004, the tribunal may decide to exclude the public from the proceedings or any part of the proceedings, where they consider that the circumstances of the case outweigh the public interest in holding the hearing in public.
