Can I attend a hearing?

Members of the public and the media can attend most hearings. . But, on occasion, a hearing may sit in private for some or all of the case.

Please speak with us in advance if you're unsure whether the hearing you want to see will be public.

Start and finish times

Hearings usually start at 9.30 am and finish between 4.30 – 5.00 pm.  Virtual hearings usually start at 9 am and finish between 4.30 – 5.00 pm.

The day includes a lunch break and short comfort breaks.

Disabled access

Wheelchair access to our building is via the main building entrance and lifts are available to all floors. Hearing loops are available in our hearing rooms.

If you have any specific requirements, please let us know in advance and we'll do all we can to assist you.

Food and drink

Sandwich bars, cafes and small supermarkets are within a few minutes' walk.

Children

Please don't bring children. Our staff can't take responsibility for any children, even for short periods.
