How we work
We run hearings for doctors, physician associates (PA) and anaesthesia associates (AA) whose fitness to practise is called into question.
Our role is set by the Medical Act 1983 and The Anaesthesia Associates and Physician Associates Order 2024. These pieces of legislation define what we do and how we’re accountable. The detailed arrangements of how our tribunals work are set out in the rules.
