Pre hearing information

Allegation

The tribunal found that, in May 2017, Dr Talibi received a banning order from a national supermarket after dishonestly leaving without paying for an item.

The tribunal also found that, Dr Talibi uploaded a photograph to his dating profile depicting him in a clinical setting participating in a brain surgery procedure, showing the exposed brain of a patient without consent.

In addition, the tribunal found that, in January 2017, when at court to be sentenced, Dr Talibi created an audio recording of the hearing without leave of the court and in June 2017 Dr Talibi dishonestly provided untrue information to EDF energy in respect of an outstanding bill.

Further, the tribunal found that, during the period 2016 to 2017, Dr Talibi made racist and/or discriminatory statements about others, assaulted Ms A and behaved in a threatening, abusive and sexually motivated manner towards her, and in 2018 attempted to breach a non-molestation order in relation to Ms A.

The tribunal also found that between 2007 and 2017, Dr Talibi posed for photographs whilst in possession of what appeared to be offensive and/or prohibited weapons. The tribunal found that Dr Talibi’s actions risked bringing the profession into disrepute.

The tribunal will reconvene to determine whether Dr Talibi’s fitness to practise is currently impaired by reason of misconduct.
