Statement on Greater Manchester restrictions

Today, Friday 31 July, the UK government published guidance on how additional restrictions to prevent the spread of Coronavirus (Covid-19) will be implemented in northern England, including the whole of Greater Manchester.

We have reviewed this carefully and have concluded that hearings scheduled from Monday 3 August will go ahead as planned.

Government guidance says: "People living inside and outside of this area can continue to travel in and out for work. Workplaces must implement Covid-19 Secure guidance."

The health and safety of everyone attending our hearing centre is important to us. All areas of our hearing centre adhere to the Covid-19 Secure guidance. We have carried out a thorough risk assessment as well as a significant programme of work to put safety and hygiene measures in place throughout the building.

Further information about how hearings are operating, as well as a video of the measures we have put in place throughout the hearing centre, is available on our FAQs page which is being regularly updated.

If you have a specific query about a hearing you are involved in in light of these restrictions, you can email enquiries@mpts-uk.org.
