Hearing types and how they work

We run two types of hearing for doctors who have allegations made about their fitness to practise medicine.

In this guide we give a general overview of both:

  • interim orders tribunals
  • medical practitioners tribunals.

If you're involved in a hearing you should use our resources for doctors and representatives or our hearing guide for witnesses for support.

Why read this guide?
You'll understand the differences between our two hearing types and how they work.
