- Allegation
The tribunal will inquire into the allegation that, in October 2022, Dr Mehat performed a non-therapeutic male circumcision on Patient A, a child, and failed to make sufficient enquiries to determine whether he required consent to the procedure from Patient A’s father.
It is further alleged that Dr Mehat subsequently provided Patient A’s mother with a pre-prepared backdated disclaimer form for the procedure and a pre-prepared witness statement which he asked her to sign and date. It is alleged that Dr Mehat’s conduct was inappropriate and/or unprofessional.
