- Allegation
The tribunal will inquire into the allegation that, on more than one occasion in November 2024, Dr Sweeney attended work whilst under the influence of an excess of prescribed medication and fell over and/or stumbled in the presence of patients.
It is further alleged that on 18 December 2024, at Edinburgh Sheriff Court, Dr Sweeney was convicted of driving without due care and attention and failing to provide a specimen. It is alleged that Dr Sweeney was fined £900.00 and disqualified from holding a licence for two years.
We expect parts of this case to be heard in private.
