- Allegation
The tribunal will inquire into the allegation that, between October 2023 and August 2024, Dr Wijerathne’s actions towards patient A were sexually motivated, in pursuit of an improper emotional relationship and were carried out when he knew that Patient A was vulnerable.
It is further alleged that, on one or more occasions between November 2023 and July 2024, Dr Wijerathne’s actions were undertaken without Patient A’s consent or reasonable belief that Patient A had consented.
