- Allegation
The tribunal will inquire into the allegation that, in August and September 2023, Dr Hotaki behaved in a sexually motivated way towards Patient A, who was vulnerable due to her mental health. It is alleged that Dr Hotaki’s conduct was in pursuit of an improper emotional relationship with Patient A and that he attempted to conceal his actions and discourage her from seeking alternative medical opinion.
It is further alleged that in February 2025, Dr Hotaki failed to comply with conditions placed on his registration, in that he carried out personal consultations with a female patient, Ms B, without a chaperone present.
