The tribunal found that, on 9 October 2019, Mr O’Brien failed to provide good clinical care to a patient.
The tribunal also found that, between November 2014 and January 2017, Mr O’Brien failed to dictate clinic letters in respect of between 189 and 668 cases following patient attendance at outpatient clinics and, between June 2015 and January 2017, failed to triage routine and/or urgent GP referrals on approximately 783 occasions.
The tribunal will reconvene to determine whether Mr O’Brien’s fitness to practise is currently impaired by reason of misconduct.
